Hospital Meal Delivery – Lead Volunteer
Job Summary
AFF’s Hospital Meal Delivery Lead Volunteer will serve meals with AFF’s Director of Family Relief once per month at Texas Children’s Hospital.
Requirements
- Ability to travel to the medical center and park as needed
- Ability to lift 10-20 lbs.
- Experience with children and/or medically fragile patients
- Ability to commit to attend monthly visits for a minimum of 6 months
- Gain badged volunteer access to respective hospitals (please see below)
- Agree to follow Addi’s Faith Foundation’s Meal Service Guidelines (please see below)
Duties
- Arrive on time to help unload meals
- Assist AFF Director in delivering meals room-by-room
- Assist AFF Director in clean up
Texas Children’s Hospital Badge Volunteer Requirements
- Volunteer Online Application
- Health Clearance
- Complete the Health History Questionnaire
- Submit PPD (Tuberculosis Test)—A negative TB skin test or chest X-ray within the past year is required.
- Submit immunization records, which include:
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – Two doses or laboratory evidence of immunity are required.
- Varicella (Chicken Pox)—Two doses, laboratory evidence of immunity, or a medical diagnosis of a history of varicella disease are required. Written physician documentation of disease history is acceptable.
- TDAP (Pertussis) – One dose within the last 10 years is required.
- 2024/2025 Influenza (Flu) vaccine
