Addi’s Faith Foundation is bringing back another “sweet” deal to help in the fight against childhood cancer – and it’s all going to happen one cookie at a time.

The foundation is teaming with select Panera Bread locations to raise money through the sales of special Addi’s Faith Foundation cookies. Throughout September, patrons at multiple Panera Bread locations in Texas can buy the special cookie knowing 25 percent of the sale will go to Addi’s Faith Foundation.

Amber and Tony Bender of Kingwood founded Addi’s Faith Foundation a decade ago in memory of their daughter Addison Faith after little Addi died of cancer just two months shy of her second birthday. Addi’s Faith Foundation is dedicated to ending childhood cancer by funding childhood cancer research and providing financial and emotional support to families struggling to care for a child with cancer.

RACE INFORMATION

The GO GOLD RACE features a Run/Walk 5k, Kids 1K Race,
and an Aquathlon (150yd swim → 5K Run).

The race will be hosted at the Elm Grove Pools Area
(2731 Clear Ridge Dr, Kingwood, TX 77339).

The 1K Kids Race starts at 7:00AM and the 5K & Aquathlon start at 7:30AM.

Run/Walk 5

This is your chance to embrace your inner athlete and tackle a 5-kilometer course (3.1 miles). Whether you prefer to run or walk, this event is open to everyone!

Kids 1K Race

We are passionate about fostering the potential of young participants, and that’s why we have a special race for our younger champions. Children ages 12 & under are invited to participate in this fun-filled 1-kilometer race!

Aquathlon (150 yard swim → 5K Run)

For those seeking an extra challenge, our Aquathlon is the perfect choice. Dive into a 150-yard swim, followed by the same 5-kilometer running course. Push your limits, test your endurance, and experience the exhilaration of this unique combination.

FUNDRAISING TIPS

You have fundraising and registration options!

HERO – If you do not want to fundraise, but still want to join the team this is your option. As a HERO, you will pay for your race entry and make a $350 tax-deductible donation to Addi’s Faith Foundation. You will receive all the HERO perks!

FUNDRAISE FOR REGISTATION – You will be required to raise a minimum of $500. Your entry fee will be paid by Addi’s Faith Foundation and you will receive all HERO perks and MANY more depending on the level you raise!

JOIN TEAM ADDI FAITH

Along with your entry into the 2024 Chevron Houston Marathon, Aramco Houston Half Marathon, or We Are Houston 5K, each team member will be matched with a child who has or is currently battling cancer. Not only will you be running for yourself…you’ll be running for that child…your child.

The funds you raise will directly impact the fight against childhood cancer. By supporting Addi’s Faith Foundation, you will be funding critical research that is finding safer and more effective treatments for kids battling cancer.

Caring for a child with cancer is a 24/7 job. Constant treatments, extended hospital stays, compromised immune systems (kids can’t go to school or be in daycare), makes it nearly impossible for parents to work. This loss of income is compounded by the increase in medical related expenses and creates a real financial crisis.

With support from people like you, Addi’s Faith Foundation can help these families by paying a portion of their monthly bills. This alleviates some of their added financial stress and in some cases means ensuring that they have food on the table and can keep the electricity on.
